૨૬મી નવેમ્બર, ૨૦૦૮ રાત્રે ૯.૪૫ કલાકે મુંબઇમાં હોટલ તાજ, હોટલ ઓબેરોય, નરીમાન હાઉસ, વીટી સ્ટેશન સહિત કુલ ૧૧ જુદા જુદા સ્થળોએ દેશમાં અત્યાર સુધીમાં થયેલા આતંકવાદી હુમલાઓ પૈકીના સૌથી મોટા અને વધુ પીડાકારક ઘટનામાં ૧૪ પોલિસકર્મી સહિત ૧૦૧ નાગરિકોએ જાન ગુમાવ્યા. આઇપીએસ કક્ષાના ત્રણ ઉચ્ચ અધિકારીઓ શહિદ થયા. ફક્ત ૩૦–૪૦ આતંકવાદીઓ ૧૨૫ કરોડની વસતી ધરાવતા દેશને બાનમાં લે ત્યારે મારા / તમારા જેવા કોમન મેને શું કરવું જોઇએ ? મેં ૪૫૦ એમએલ રક્તદાન કર્યું. અને સંકલ્પ કરૂ છું કે ..... મારા વિસ્તારમાં રહેતા હોય તેવા, દેશને માટે શહાદત વહોરનાર જાંબાઝ જવાનો કે સિપાહીના પરિવારનું માન–સન્માન અને જીવન જરૂરીયાતો જળવાય તેનું અગ્રીમતા સાથે ધ્યાન રાખીશ.
