I hav yet another such info for the group.
Perhaps u people may be aware of 'school health programme' running by the GOVT OF GUJARAT. Under this programme, the govt shall bear all the expense of the Heart Surgery of a child, if a child is found to be having some kind of heart problem that require surgery.
Only one thing, is that the child should be enrolled at any school in gujarat.
The govt is running such a nice programme, but we hav some deep rooted beliefs that govt programmes are useless, and so we dnt bother to know much about it.
I hav personaly interviewed the children and their parents who hav got benifits by this programme. So, no need to go far, jus wait for the school health programme.
Every year, in Dec.-Jan., all the school going children are examined by junior doctors, and those found to be having any disease, are refered to higher centre. so, if ur child is having any disease (not jus heart disease), ensure that the child is refered to higher centre.
