It seems pretty clear that the "gang" is targeting Indian families since Indians typically have gold, jewelry, cash, and typically don't have guns or dogs. There have been 9-10 cases of these break-ins in the past few months. 2 months ago, armed robbers overwhelmed an Indian homeowner in his garage, and then proceeded to tie down the wife and young son, while the house was robbed. This happened in Glen Abbey on Kimball Bridge Road.They were clearly looking for gold and cash, and apparently a very significant amount was stolen. Thankfully no one was physically assaulted or injured.

>This incident happened in Pulte's Sub division right behind Suvidha Indo pak Grocery store during 2nd (or) 3rd week of Nov between 7:30 and 8 pm. Suresh Sajja told me that he brought Gold/Diamond jewelry from Suntrust Bank's safe deposit box in Cumming branch on a Friday evening since they were planning
to go to India in December. It seems, they went to India shopping on
the very next day, saturday evening. He had security system with
camera. Based on his camera, there were 5 masked people entered his
house from his deck door between 7:30 and 8 pm on that day and robbed
all their jewelry including his wife's silk sarees. He thinks there
must have been an indian in that gang. He suspects someone from
Suntrust Bank might have passed his jewelry safe deposit box check out
information to this gang which is targetting indians that keep gold,
jewelry and cash at home. At the same time, not having a Gun or a Dog.

>With the economy in poor shape, the high price of gold, plus Indians being generally affluent, Indians are a major target. I wanted to make you aware of it in case you haven't heard, and also point out a few steps. It doesn't hurt to take some precautions, and of course taking steps to protect your own physical safety is of paramount importance.

>10. If you see any suspicious vehicle in the neighborhood call 911. It does not have to be an "emergency" to call 911. Lot of times intuition has helped the police catch the suspects. They welcome such calls.
>11. Use a lot of common sense and observe your surroundings. Do not be complacent. These are hard times, people are desperate, gold is expensive and don't be an easy target.

>13. But more than anything else we have to look out for each other as a community responsible for the safety of one another.
