નવજાત શિશુ સંભાળ અંગેની કેટલીક સર્વ સામાન્ય ગેરમાન્યતાઓ
1.નવજાત શિશુને કમળો થાય તો માત્ર સૂર્ય પ્રકાશમાં રાખવાથી તે મટી જાય છે.
હકીકત – નવજાત શિશુઓમાં જોવા મળતો સામાન્ય કમળો(un conjugated hyper billirubinemia) 70%થી વધુ શિશુઓમાં જોવા મળે છે. મહદ અંશે શિશુઓ પોતાની શારીરીક ક્રિયાઓ દ્વારા જ આ કમળા પર કાબુ મેળવી લેતા હોય છે.પરંતુ આમાંથી ફોટો થેરાપી કે લોહી બદલવા જેવી સારવાર માત્ર 30% શિશુઓમાં જરુરી બને છે. આ શિશુઓમાં કમળાનું પ્રમાણ જોખમી બને તે પહેલા કાબુમાં લેવુ જરુરી છે.
