Video of Indian soldier reciting ‘Kashmir to hoga, lekin Pakistan nahi hoga’

On September 18, 2016 the whole of India was shaken by the news of 17 soldiers of the Indian Army being martyred in the Uri fidayeen attack. About 19 other security personnel were injured in the attack by a suicide squad from Pakistan. The country and the rest of the world erupted with reactions, many angry, many hurt by the unrequited bloodshed of the innocent.
But, this video of an Indian soldier singing a popular patriotic poem, is winning over the Internet. The video shows a soldier in a bus giving an extremely enthusiastic message and is accompanied by others in uniform. He sings ‘Kashmirto hoga, lekin pakistan nahi hoga‘ — a poem made popular by Sadhvi Balika Saraswati, young leader and star speaker of the VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad). It is not clear if the video was shot after the attack, but the file has been posted on YouTube after the incident.
One of the lines in the poem goes: ‘Siyar bhediye se dar sakti singhon ki aulad nahi, bharat vansh k is paani ki hai tumko pehchan nahi‘, which literally translates to ‘the children of lions will not be afraid of the wolves, you do not know the waters that flow through our country.’ The strong words in the poem are obviously aimed at Pakistan and its inclination towards violence.
The soldier continues to recite with fervour: ‘Pakistan ye kan khol kar sun le, abki jung chidi to sun le, naam nishan nahi hoga, Kashmir to hoga lekin pakistan nahi hoga!’ He is challenging the miscreants in the neighbouring country that another cowardly attempt at creating unrest here, will prove worse for them. He further says, nothing will happen to Kashmir, but that will not be the case with Pakistan
